-
Environmental Controls
Next, steps are taken to protect the area during construction. These may include mats, silt fences, and containers for construction materials.
-
Substation Upgrades
Next, new foundations are poured, a new control house is built, and other equipment, including a transformer, is placed. This work also includes installing a new security fence and sound wall along the residential side of the substation. Crews use heavy equipment, including cranes.
-
Restoration
After construction, crews restore the work area and return the landscape to its original condition as much as possible. (Unless otherwise specified in regulatory requirements or by a landowner).
